I went over and hugged him to try to comfort him

Jake stared forward, leaning into William. "You're too good of a person. Why do the good people get hurt?"

"I dont know" I quietly said, my heart was skipping a few beats

Jake covered his eyes again, pulling away from the hug, and curling once again.

I sighed and went upstairs into my room alone

Jake closed his eyes, entering the land of nothingness, also known as sleep.

I suddenly tripped over something strange and fell over, I slowly got up, I was ok, but I noticed I was a bit pale, I had to relax, so I just laid down on my bed

When Jake woke a little bit later, he began to cry. And he cried and cried and cried and cried until his eyes were red, until his cheeks were drenched in tears, until he had no tears left to cry. He could bring himself to cease the waterworks.

I heard lots of crying, I couldn't hold myself back, I went downstairs to see if he was ok

Jake had his hands in his hair, sobbing gently to himself.

"Jake? Is something wrong?" I asked

Jake hugged a couch pillow. "I don't understand life anymore!" He coughed into his sweatshirt, his eyes puffy and red.

"You are safe with us" I quietly said

Jake sat up, and stared up at William. He walked up to him, half hugged him, nodded, and woefully walked up the steps.
