i was sitting on the street floor thinking to myself. i was most likely to be called at this reaping thing. mum had never mentioned about it until now. she was quite dramatic acually. but that stuff doesnt bother me. i dont have friends nor feelings as far as i know. -
I stood near the edge of the girls so I could get to the stage easily. This year I would volunteer. This year I would win, because my brother didn't. I glared at the capitol lady in her odd clothes as she said her little speech and walked over to the big glass ball holding the girls names.

he drew a name out of some scraggaly hat as soon as i stoped my studies. "max, youve been chosen to volenteer for the hunger games representing district twelve!" i walk up and hear a couple of my schholmates say i was going to get murdered. the can scew off and shove a ice spike up their butt for all i care.
