The girls turn. She picks a name from the girls ball, and smiles.
"Roseburn Mayer!" Her incredibly annoying, high pitched voice exclaims. Roseburn tensed, and walked to her platform. She could hear screams. Her head darted around the throngs of humans. There. Her father. Crying. Screaming.
"ROSEBURN! ROSE!!!" He was dragged away by the Peacekeepers. Roseburn stood bravely, not shedding a tear. Though, sorrow danced in her eyes. -

i see a girl come up here with me. apparently she wa the talk of the town. goodie. i will definitly hide from her. probably hide inside a cave. yeah... a cave would be nice. maybe do some refurneshing... near a lake would benice too. -
The lady ushered us into the building and we got ready to set out for the Capitol. My Uncle didn't come to see me--not that I expected him to, but a girl cann hope. In fact, no one came to see me, which didn't surprise me either.

Inside the building, Roseburns father visited her. He hugged her tight, waterfallish tears streaming down his face. He was trembling ever so slightly. They'd embraced until the Peace Keepers returned, dragging her father away again. Someone, most likely one of her even-more-over-the-top stylists, began leading her to the train, where she would meet her mentor.
