I level the plane out at 40,000 feet, above the clouds. "hello?"

I sighed, closing my eyes.

I hit the autopilot, and turn my head to look at you. "hey, you ok?"

"I-I'm fine." I looked up at him, hoping my eyes didn't give away the sadness I felt. I was free now, but felt even more trapped now.

"helmet fit ok?" I ask.

Hey, you're a guy right?
I shrugged. "I guess," I answered quietly. -
(yep)
"want something to drink?" -
(back in 10, gotta eat)

Kay. Good.
"That would be nice, thank you." Normally I would've smiled. My facial expression didn't change. -
(you there?)
I grab my canteen and hand it back, "water, here you go" -
"Thank you." I opened the canteen and took a sip of the water.

"no problem," I look around, the sun is rising to the east of us.

I sighed, seeing the sun rising. I took another sip from the canteen before closing it.

There's a beeping, and I reef the fighter into a steep dive.

I could feel myself drifting off, but the dive shook me awake.
