I sighed. Shouldn't I get some say in this though? I'm the future queen...

"Like hell! Excuse me, sir. But at this point, diplomacy wont work. I wish it would. We need to show them we mean business. If need be, I'll go up alone. So you only risk one gung ho pilot." That, I see,scored for points.
"Walker, I dont like it." -
I frowned, still listening.

"Sir, I dont like it either. But if diplomacy worked in the first place, none of us would be here right now. Sir, Ill go up, alone against these targets. Its my op, I need to see it through."
"Walker... Approved." -
I grinned. YES!

"Thank you sir, I need weapons release."
"Take it to my ops staff, whatever you need, you request." Turner then keys the speaker system, "all pilots, report to the ops center breifing room. Brief commences in twenty minutes." He turns the speaker off, "Walker, your brief, your mission. Ill be there too"
"Thank you, sir." I say as I salute and walk out of the office, grinning. -
I watched him walk out, barely able to hide my excitement. I pretty much tackle-hugged him as soon as he closed the door behind him.

I nearly get knocked down by you, but I manage to stay standing. "We did it," I whisper.

"You did it," I whispered back.

"I couldn't have done it without your help," I whisper.

"Either way, I'm proud of you." I let go of him.

"thank you," I take a step away, "I need to run back and get into my flight suit, then do the briefing,"

"Good luck," I gave him a thumbs up.

"thanks," I jog off back to my quarters.
