Listen to Hello Love, What Was, Little Runaway, Mr Electric Blue, Man In Me, Reminds Me of You, Before You, and Nights Like These before you judge, because I'm 99% sure the only songs you've listened to by him are Beautiful Things, Mystical Magical, and Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else. You're the cringe one for judging someones music taste so heavily. Unless it's a genuinely problematic artist like D4vid, or Kanye, or even Sabrina Carpenter if you truly don't like her ACTIONS, then sure, go ahead, but Benson is pretty damn unproblematic. If your biggest controversy as an artist is being gimmicky and unauthentic, I don't think you have much of a controversy -
Like come on, every big music artist has been gimmicky and inauthentic at some point. Is Benson Boone gimmicky? Yes. He's also a new artist. His first songs shot him up as a famous guy immediately, of course his brand feels a bit wobbly. He hasn't had time to grow his brand naturally, it just immediately became "whatever the fans want". His genuine songs are beautiful. I genuinely think his PULSE EP and Fireworks and Rollerblades are both great, with Fireworks and Rollerblades being one of the best albums created in its time. If you only see the s---ty songs like Beautiful Things and Mystical Magical, of course you're going to think his music is trash. It's the same with almost every popular artist right now
