I used to fantasize living in Colorado, and I relate to the song so much that I swear she wrote it abt me at this point -
Songs of 2025
Ultimate spotify wrapped. It's all the top songs of 2025 mashed up, and it sounds EPIC. Highly recommend, especially if you're a fan of the current hits and Kpop -
My 2026 music predictions
Tyla will be one of the top artists of the year
R&B will become more popular due to people tiring from the Brat Summer/pop songs from 2024 and 2025 (respect to that music tho, i love it very dearly)
A boy band will pop up on the charts, with a sound like if NSYNC and Benson Boone had a baby. They will be incredibly dissed on despite the popularity on the charts
Artemas, Troye Sivan, and Dominic Fike will top the Spotify charts despite being snubbed by radio stations
Olivia Rodrigo (obviously) will dominate the radio charts
A Deluxe Mans Best Friend track from Sabrina Carpenter
Troye Sivan, Olivia Rodrigo, and Tyla will become the icons of 2026 -
Todd the Shadows really just said 2025 was one of the worst years for music, and I disagree pretty strongly on that. I think it was a tough year for critics and songwriters alike, and a rough year for the Billboard charts, but I don't think that means it was a bad music year.
I think we're starting to stray from the hits of 2024 and switching to and blending genres for a fresher feel. I think if you look at the top charts you're not going to see the music that made 2025. You're not going to see the impacts of the artists.
I think this year was an ALBUM year, not a SONG year. Sure there wasn't a song of the summer, but I'll be dammed if there wasn't some hot albums.
I think 2025 is kinda meant to be a refresher. We are finally moving past the slow, stagnant feel of the 2020s, and the pop explosion of 2024 needs time to grow and evolve as the artists do. We can't expect a Hot to Go every year, but that doesn't mean we can't look at the hits of 2025 and think "damn, that was a good year" -
i think 2025 was a good year because of the diversity and individuality of the music being produced. There may not have been a song of the summer, but the artists of the year are still strong, and deservedly popular (except for taylor swift lmao)
it offered fresh air to the people who put so much time into their music (Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan) while at the same time making room for other artists (Sombr, Conan Gray, Katseye). There's a new feel to pop music, and I think that makes it a good year for music in general. If you can change how a genre so stagnant and deep rooted in our generation as pop is, you deserve to be considered a good year in my eyes -
wow i yapped too much and idek if any of that made sense
tldr 2025 was pretty great for music in more ways than one, and the Billboard charts CERTAINLY weren't everything this year -
no song of the day but album of the day is Fruitcake by Sabrina Carpenter
-
song of the day is Picture You by Chappell Roan
-
ok genuinely why is SZN4 getting so much hate for their rendition of the Star Spangled Banner they did for the Christmas football game? I thought they did good
-
God forbid someone sings the anthem like it's a normal song and not an opera
-
Predicting that Noah Kahan will be one of my top artists and Kid Krow will be my top album (or one of the songs will be on my top 5 songs)
-
Song of the day is Good Luck Babe by
Our Lord and SaviorChappell Roan -
Our Lord and Savioris so real. Love the way she stands up for -
Yeah she's an icon lol. I like that she doesn't pretend to be a perfect celebrity either. She's very up front about who she is, and I like that a lot
