  Is it just me, or did all of the books after book 3 really suck?
  
  It became this weird teenage romance thing to teach kids about global warming. :/

  That's exactly what I was telling my friends at school. It really became crap after book three. It went so far off the path it started on I refused to read any other books after #4

  I can assure you that you didn't miss anything worthwhile. I have re-read the ending of Nevermore at least a dozen times, and I'm still really confused and ticked off.

  I liked them, but I wouldn't consider them to be in my top 10 favorites or anything. The average teenage girl would be obsessed with them. Books 4 - 8 really aren't worth reading at all.

  I've been on a reading spree recently, and finished books 3-8 between tuesday afternoon and this morning.
  
  I never did get his obsession with Global Warming, when the first books didn't mention it at all. I get that it's an important issue, but why turn a battle against evil biologists into that?
  As for the whole teenage romance thing, well, Max did get older. Surely a fourteen/fifteen year old will develop feelings for someone at around that time.
  
  But I have issues with Angel. She's just so perfect, with her breathing underwater, telepathy and mind control, and her sweet exterior. I cannot believe that anyone sided with Angel in the fifth book.

  I totally agree! The first three books were amazing then they go from "kill the erasers and people at the School" to "Max only you can save the world." I don't get why the books changed like that. It ticked me off. I'm not reading them anymore.

  yeah...after book 3 i started zoning out ( or whatever book my fav. character Ari died in :P) partly because it all became like crap and also cause ari died :(
