So basically my friend has this gigantic crush on this girl.
He's obsessed.
He told me that one of our friends sent him a bunch of old pictures over discord and he saved only and all the ones that had his crush in it
His profile pic for most of last night was of her
Every time he sees her he has no idea what to do
She doesn't know about the pfp or the saved pics or anything
He asked her out a couple months ago, and she told him that she already had a boyfriend and that they were really happy together.
And he just told me that the time she rejected him keeps playing over and over again in his head
Ever since this crush on her started he's been asking me for advice and he still is because he doesn't want to interfere with her relationship with her boyfriend or anything because they really are happy together.
One of his friends started throwing more girls at him thinking it was going to be some sort of Romeo and Juliet situation
I had to laugh at that because it obviously isn't working and probably won't ever work.
I told him that the best thing to do is to be happy for her that she has a great relationship with someone. He agreed and said he's doing his best to do that.
Is there anything else you guys would recommend? He's a great guy and I'm really concerned about him. -
I would suggest that he take some time to recognize the cool things about himself. This sounds like a needy obsession behind a lovestruck mess, and if that's the case, it won't lead to anything healthy whether he ever gets to date his crush or not.
He would need to correct this before ever dating anyone, really. -
He's been trying to not be so obsessed.
Also this morning he was telling me some of this stuff and he asked me, "What's wrong with me?" -
I think his obsession was seriously creepy, I’d honestly be really scared. But he needs to get over it

I agree with raiden, he can’t be like that if he’s going to date someone. He needs to make a positive change
