Are you ready for...
Our "When Will I Die" Quiz?

  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. I watch as he places his hands in the fire, breathing deepily. "Oh were are you polemistís. Were are you?" I recognize the word for warrior in Greek. His voice is like ice down my spine and my scar burns. He looks right where I'm standing. His eyes are cold and hard. A creepy smile takes up half of his face. "There you are." And he lunges at me.
  2. I shoot straight up in bed, gasping. I swallow the scream that caught in my throat. I'm in a diffrent place, in a diffrent bed. I start to panic but then I remember what last night. I flop back down in the soft bed, fingering the silky pillows. It was just a dream, I think, just a dream. The clock tells me that its only 5:02 in the morning. I rub my eyes and look over the place I'm in. The walls are painted a off-white color, soft but not creamy. Across the bed is a door that could be anything. The bed is put up against the wall, close to the large window. It goes from the ceiling to the ground. I stretch my arms over my head and get out of bed. I'm still in the clothes that I wore yesterday and I start walking toward the door. It opens into a large bathroom, with a full shower and two sinks. The bathroom is made with grey porcelain. One whole wall is made up of a large mirror, showing me myself. My hair is a rat nest's, my eyes bloodshot, and my clothes a mess. I find my suitcase and try brushing my hair out, but I give up and take a shower instead. The hot water creates steam that wraps around me like a cacoon. It helps clear the rest of the sleep from my body and I start feeling more awake. My shampoo smells so familiar that I can believe I'm back in my old house. The shower is over before I know it and I walk back into the room. The towel is soft, puffy, and white, just like a cloud. I look through my bag before I find a red shirt and shorts. My hair is still dripping onto the soft carpet and I twist my hand in the air. The water rises up and little bubbles of clear liquid appear. I walk back into the bathroom and drop the water into one of the sinks. This could work, I think, I could try to call this place home. I shake my head and put my damp hair into a ponytail. Brushing my teeth seems like a good idea so I grab my toothbrush and toothpaste. The paste taste like mint times ten and I regret buying this kind. Oh well. I walk out another door and find myself in a hall. The floor is made of black tile. Not the cheap kind, but the really nice and shiny kind. There's another door by the one I just walked out of, but the door is closed. The house is huge, the halls made for cars to pass through. There's lots more door, most shut, others locked. Bedrooms, I think, mabey thats were the guys sleep. I walk down the tiled stairs into a large room. There's a HUGE tv on the back wall and a dark white sectional couch. There's windows all over, three on one wall, two framing the tv. And one one of the counches is a girl.
  3. The girl is blond, her hair like corn. She's watching some show that looks like a NCIS episode. She's holding a red cup with steam pourning out of it. Her eyes are cat like, large and very green. She's wearing a black tee and purple basketball shorts. She looks up from the show and spots me. "Hello." She says smoothly. "Hi." I say a little awkward. Who is she? She gets up and walks over to me. I meet her half-way and she sticks her hand out. I take it a little reluctantly, but her hand is warm and alive. "My name is Emily." "Mine's Amber." She nods. "Eric came in at like midnight and told me you were here. Sorry they can be a little over the top. But what are you going to do?" I smile. She reminds me of...me. I don't know why but I really like this chick. "You want some coffee?" She asks. "Sure." I say and follow her down a hall. The kitchen is large. There's an island that looks more like a bar. The coffee pot is in a corner steaming out hot water. Emily grabs a cup from the cuboard and pours black coffee in the cup. Steam immediately escapes form the cup, bringing the smell of richness to me. I grab the cup and drink slowly. It's plain black coffee, bitter and sweet at the same time. "Do you want suger? Black coffee is so bitter to me." "No," I smile after I swallow, "I really like black coffee without anything in it. Thanks." We walk back into the room and sit on the couch. "Were are the guys?" I ask. She smiles just as a gun goes off on the tv. "There still sleeping. They never get up before seven. Lazy I think." We both laugh. "I was going to run after this is done," she motions to her coffee, "want to come? I understand if you don't, you just look like a runner." I smile, for the millionth time. Man, whats up with me? "Sure. I always go running in the morning." She nods and we both watch as Zina and DiNozzo start running toward the bad guy.
  4. Turns out Emily is really cool. She grew up in New York, with a drunk dad who was abusive to her. She met Lilly whe she walking home. "It was raining hard that day," she said as we walked back to the house, "Lilly was walking to a store on the corner and saw me." Emily paused, lost in thought. I watched as pain danced in her eyes as she remembered. I feel bad for her - for all the people who have ever felt hurt or neglected in their life. "She saw the bruise on jaw and the cuts on my face that I tried to cover up. She asked how I got them and I told her, 'My dad did it when he got drunk.' I was surprised that I said it, but I needed to tell someone. I felt like I would explode if I didn't. She took me to Arizona and Grace awakened my powers. I've been here ever since." She sighs and the sound reminds me of what I do when the weight is lifted from my shoulders. "Do the others know?" I ask. "No. I've only know them for six months. You and Lilly are the only ones that know." She looks at me. "What about you?" The question is loaded. She wants to know what happened to me. I open my mouth to make an excuse and her phone statrs ringing. I silently thank who ever is calling her. She takes the phone out of her pocket and makes a face. "Yes?" The other line shrieks and she hold it away from her. "AMBER IS GONE!" Comes out of the small phone. We look at each other and start laughing. She hands me the phone, which is still screaming. "Hey. Could you kinda calm down?" The voice instanly stops yelling. "Amber?" Its Sam. "No," I roll my eyes, "the pizza man. Who else?" "Where have you guys -" He stops mid-scentence. "Never mind. You went out running didn't you?" "Yeah, and we've been out of the house for like," I look at the time on Emilly's phone, "two hours. Where have you been? Sleeping?" I hear him laugh on the other end. "Yeah. Sorry we kinda sleep late. I'm surprised your up. You had to only sleep for like five hours." I bit the inside of my mouth to stop form telling him, "Well when your homeless and with only another person you don't really sleep well."
  5. Me and Emily walk in the house laughing. We had been making jokes about how guys could be so clueless. "I even left a note." She said and we both started giggling. I'm surprised that I've let my walls come down. I have never done that. Mabey its whats happening to me. No, I think, I've been through worse. All four guys have there arms crossed over there chest, looking more ridiculous than ever. I can tell by looking at there eyes that they aren't really mad. "Where have you been?" Riley demands. There chest are puffed out like there some deer. "Um, lets see. We went to lots of places." Emily says. We look at each other. I nod. "Yeah," I say, "we went down the street, crossed a brige, went down some more streets, looked at home, and came back. Not all that exciting so we won't bore you guys with ALL the details." Me and Emily walk into the kitchen with the guys following. "Well, we went into the rooms and saw both of you gone and thought..." Trey's voice trailed off. Emily opened the frige and grabed two apples. Apples. I smiled, remembering my dream. But then I remembered the other one and the good feeling turned into ice cold fear. Did Thanatos know where I was? No, that was impossible. But, a little voice in my head told me that he should be dead. Maybe he was and I just dreamt him up. I meen, I didn't really sleep and I could have felt upset that I had to leave my home. I still was. But what if Thanatos was alive? Again, everything came back to him. "I'll be outside ok. And I'll stay in the yard." I said. They had all been talking when I spoke and stopped. How long have I been standing here? Emily grabs my wrist and pulls me toward the large doors that lead to the yard beyond. "Where you going?" Riley calls after us. Was he thinking too? "You heard Amber." And with that we went outside.
  6. The backyard is super big and green. Big leafy trees line the fence, which is almost invisible. The leaves are large and super green, some leaves shaped like hearts, others deformed. The grass looks fake but after taking off my shoes I can tell that it's real. Its like a bed, cool and soft. The smell of life and soil lays heavy in the air making my clouded head clear. There's a sparkling blue pool in the middle of the yard, the water looking so inviting that I'm tempted to jump in. The weather is purfect, cool with a breeze. The sun is mellow, not so hot and bright. Two fountains are by the trees, both of tigers spewing water from there mouths that gracefully fall back into the crystall water. Everything is so beautiful, do amazing that I almost forget my troubles and worries. Almost. Emily watches as I take it all in with a smile on her face. "Well?" I laugh. "Well what?" "Do you like it?" "Yes. It all so...breathtaking." She shrugs. "You'll get use to it. So," She plops her self on the grass, "why are we out here?" I sit by her. "I kind of wanted to bend. It always is a therapeutic thing for me. And I could use it right now." I wait for her to ask why. But she dosen't, just nods. "I'm kinda tired. Do you mind if I watch?" I shake my head. "No. I'm cool with it." She leans against a tree looking totally comfortable where she is. Her hair is coming undone from it's ponytail, stray pieces flying in her face. I close my eyes and open them quickly. I feel calm, safe, and powerful. I walk over to the pool, stare at the unmoving water. I pull my arms up then push them down. The water responds, flying in the air slowly then falling back down like a feather. The feeling of coolness unties the knots in my muscles, causing me to relax. I raise my hands over and over again, just letting go with the sense of freedom fresh I'm my mind.
  7. *Eric's POV* We all watch from the window. Mabey we don't trust her - which would make sence - or maybe we're curious to see her not in deadly mode. She has so much fire in her, maybe more than Riley. But she also has that haunted look in her eyes when she bends. It's like something that would over power her. I had underestimated her at first, she's skinny and always looks jumpy. Or she did when we walked into the fitness place. Now she held her self high, not cocky but in the unself-consiceious way. She didn't care what you thought of her. But wasn't that nearly impossible for girls? Didn't they always wear make-up to hide their real skin? I looked closer at Amber. She moved gracefully, like a swan on water. She was beautiful, but from what I could tell she didn't wear make-up. I smiled mentally. She was so beautiful. But what about the pain in her eyes last night? When I asked her how she trapped us, she lied and wouldn't talk. What happend to her?
  8. *Amber's POV* I turned the water off. The cold air slipped in from under the door as I grabed a fluffy towel. This was my second shower, to many but I need to rinse off. Bending water was always so easy. Maybe it was because water was my soul element. But even then darkness crept into my vision. I always fought to control it, afraid that if I gave into it that I would never be myself again. Darkness was horrible and additive. I felt so exusted as I walked out of the bathroom, eyeing the bed. I had hung my shirts up and put everything else away when I can up here, not wanting them to wrinkle. I grabed a pair of shorts and a dark blue shirt and start grabing underwear when my cellphone goes off. The ringtone is LMFAO's 'Sexy and I know it'. Tyler had kept telling me I need to give him a ringtone. "Fine!" I said. He had been bugging me all day. I gave him my phone to pick a song and he gave it back after five minutes. He called later and I laughed at what he picked. Ever since then I never changed it. "Hello?" Here we go. "Amber? Oh damn Amber! I get to work and your not here and McClain says you called in sick. So I try calling you and your phone just comes to voicemail! I thought something happened to you. Something bad." I hear hurt and anger in his voice. There's pain mingled in with those already heart tugging sounds. "Tyler. I'm fine. But I'm not home. And no I didn't want to go." I add before he can ask. "Did something happened?" He asks. I sigh and tell him about what happened. Everything. He listens quietly, letting me finish each sectence or rant before he asks something. "And you think its...Thanatos?" I sigh in the phone. "Yes. No. Ugh, maybe. I really don't know, I'm just confused." "Can I come see you? I would feel a lot better if I saw you." "I don't know. I think you would have to ask Mark." I regret it when it comes out. Tyler hates asking for things, even when we were starving and homeless he refused to beg. I start dressing listening to Tyler. "No Amber. I'll find a different way." There's a faint noise coming from his line. It sounds like a siren. "You get caught again?" I smile as I pull my shorts on. He swears on the other end. "Call you back." And he hangs up. I start brushing my still wet hair when I hear a knock on the door.
  9. I don't know who that could be. Maybe one of the guys. I open the door and find Trey standing there. He runs a hand threw his ginger colored hair. "Hey." He says in a nervous way. "Hi. You need something?" I smile at him as nicely as I can. He smiles back at me. It's something in his smile that makes me blush. Is it because he's always so quiet and I never noticed him before? Could I be any worse? "Yeah there is actually. You looked like you need someone to talk to. Could I come in?" It's an innocence question. One that either means I'm still a bit insecure when I talk about myself, or it means that he just wants to get to know me. I open the door wider. "Come in."
  10. *Trey's POV* Amber looks surprised to see me standing in the doorway. Her strange colored eyes widened slightly, not enough for someone that doesn't pay lots of attention to her. Like the other guys. Scratch that. They're starting to pay more attention to her. Not good. I run my hand threw my hair, trying to look a little shy. "Hey." I say. "Hi. You need something?" She smiles a smile that dosen't match her eyes. I smile back at her, and watch as a slight blush comes over her face. She is really, very pretty. To bad Thanatos wants her as his weapon. I remember the oath I took, I even have the mark of my dark lord. So does Sam. The small tattoo on the back of our neck that we say means nothing. Nothing but everything.
  11. Ok. I'm very sorry leaving you hanging but I wanted to give you a preview for the story. 'Mark and Tyler think I'm sleeping. Sometimes they are really dumb. I feel a hand on my back. "You care about her don't you?" Marks voice is soft, trying to be quiet. Well he's not very good at it. I hear Tyler hush him. "Yes. I have always cared about her and always will." I nearly smile, but I remember that I'm supposed to be sleeping, so I keep my face blank. Tyler has always told me that he cares about me, and I did the same with him. "That's not what I mean. I mean do you love her?" and all that follows is silence.'
