  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. Well, I've seen a lot of stories written here on this website and I think it'll be fun to write one! This is my first quiz story. Soooo yeah xP
  2. The title of my story was copied from Glee's songs, "Don't Stop Believing".
  3. Sooooo... enough gabbering. Let's get on with the story :P
  4. The song "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction blasts out of my iPod. I wake up and find myself curled on the floor. "What...the heck?!" I stammer as I rub my eyes. Then I see. On my warm, comfy cozy bed is my German Shepard dog, Fluffy, sleeping peacefully. He's right on my pillow! I laugh. Fluffy must've pushed me off the bed last night. What other explanation?!
  5. "You're insecure. Don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the door..." I lazily hit the "OFF" button on my iPod. Even though I love One Direction, I am still not a morning person! Morning is the time when my head is a little bit fuzzy. I need to clear everything. So, it's the middle of summer holidays. I'm starting eighth grade next year. But that's for next year. Nothing to worry about now, right?! I go to the bathroom, brush my teeth and curl my hair into thick waves. Looking into the mirror, I see a girl. A girl with long, black hair and ice-blue eyes. That's me. Skye Whiteson. Soon-to-be singer, otherwise a total wreck. Then I throw on some jeany short shorts and a pink t-shirt with some summer heels. It's hot today and I wanted to go get some ice-cream before breakfast! Ha ha.
  6. I check on my iPod for any reminders. Yup, there definitely is one! Today I have an audition! That's right! For singing. I've always loved to sing. Even though my parents have always been against it. This could be a chance to start my SINGING CAREER! I'm 14 years old and it's never too early.
  7. I throw on some dark sunglasses, collect my cell phone and took some spare cash from my mom's handbag and out I went. Once I reach the ice cream parlor, I see my friend David. David is a fifteen year old sophomore. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He must've received a beautiful golden-glow tan to his skin during summer like the kind of skin Justin Bieber had in the Boyfriend video. "Hey Skye." David greets me. I smile at him as we line up. "Hot day, huh?" he asks. I nod. "Sure is. I'm auditioning for a singing contest today." I inform him. David looks really happy. "Really? That's awesome!" he cheers me on. This is what I love about David. Always happy, enthusiastic and he supports me. "Do you want to hang out this afternoon?" he asks me. I shake my head. "Sorry, David. Auditions, remember?" "Oh okay, yeah. Good luck." he tells me and walks off with his ice-cream. I smile. He seems so sweet!
  8. Fastfowarding the day to auditions: I wait nervously in the waiting room until they call my number. I already know the song, and the lyrics. It's called "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry. I sing the lyrics quietly in my head over and over again. Everyone tells me I have a great voice. So there's nothing to fear, right?
  9. "Number 16." an old lady with gray hair calls. I stand up, take a deep breath and walk into the audition room. A big stage with red curtains await me. "Please stand up at the stage." a man with thick glasses and a clipboard says. I walk up to the stage, feeling nervous and very shaky. My whole body is trembling. "What's your name?" a strict lady with red hair asks. "Skye. Skye Whiteson." I say, trying to sound clear. Okay, Skye. Don't get nervous, otherwise you will lose your vocal chords, I think to myself. "And what song are you singing for us?" a man on the left of the judges table asks. "Teenage Dream by Katy Perry." So the song plays... but I realize this isn't Teenage Dream! It's another song. The judges look as if they were waiting for me to sing, some of them even looked angry. The music stops and the judges all glare at me. "Why didn't you sing?" one of them asks.
  10. "...That's not the song. That's not Teenage Dream." I stammer uneasily. I'm about to cry but I can't. Not here, and not now. "Really?" clearly they don't believe me. "Someone must've switched disks. I swear I gave the correct disk with the correct song in." I explain, tears welling up. The strict woman with red hair in the middle suddenly looks very, very agitated. "NEXT!" she demands at the old, gray lady. I can't believe it. "...What?" I'm on the verge of tears. "Listen, sweetie. We don't have time for candidates who are unprepared. Maybe next year when you come prepared and ready." the red-headed woman snarls. The other judges looks at me, as if to say, "sorry". Relentlessly, I pick up my bag and leave the audition, my heart beating and tears running down my face.
  11. There goes my dream. My dream to become a famous singer. Yep. It just slipped out of my hand as quickly as a speed train.
  12. That's all for Part 1. Look out for Part 2? :)
