The gospel versions are alike, yet decidedly different. Each has a unique emphasis, addressed to a particular audience. They must be taken all together to appreciate the richness.

You cannot get a complete picture of the gospel versions without an appreciation of the history, the culture, and the literature of the time. Further study is always helpful, if you want to grow in understanding.
