  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. Prologue
  2. (only the prologue is in 3rd person) “Mum, that’s unfair” Alice cried as David held onto the book. He hadn’t seen a book like it, a dairy, that’s what Alice is going to turn it into. A blood red book, with faint black lines from them to write on, this was their Christmas present. It the bottom edge where was this sight line, transforming into a circle then back to a straight line to the edge. In black, “Alice,” their mother cried, it was like Alice had broken her heart. They were already struggling with money; Alice just had to make her feel guilty. On purpose or not, it didn’t matter. Alice being only twelve and very obvious, she wouldn’t understand. “We are having problems with money, you father is working to pay off the rent. We can’t...” Her voice cracked, trying to stop the tears. Their mother’s face was already looking old with stress; David heard that their mother was once quite beautiful along with their father. The ladies used to gossip about how Alice already looked like her mother, at such a young age. Alice did have most of her features, fair thin blond hair with bright blue eyes. They were both slim and had small noses, also no freckles. “I am sorry mum,” Alice voice drowned in sorrow, she sounded guilty as well as sorry. “I guess me and David can share this book” I guess? David stopped himself from frowning, “thanks mother, come on Alice” he turned and walked upstairs.
  3. Alice followed behind him, her hand sliding up the rail as they went along. David walked up to their room, closing the door behind Alice. The room wasn’t anything special, Alice’s bed was one the left and his was on the right. Exactly the same, like it had been mirrored, a box under their bed stored their clothes. Also a small desk, desk chair and desk light were near the window. “I think we should have three pages each to write then swap. You can start” David told her, she took a pencil and on the first page at the top she wrote- Alice. “You like what I did what the A and I” Alice asked proudly, shoving it in David’s face. She had made it all fancy. “Alice, it’s what someone would do if they were eight or nine. Maybe ten” David sighed, she crinkled her face up. Frowning, she turned back to the book “just for that, you won’t get to read the first page that I write” she snapped and started writing at the desk
  4. . David flung himself back onto the chair, “Merry Christmas Alice” He said looking at the plain white ceiling. Alice looked up at him and smiled “Merry Christmas David, now please help me spell pandemonium” David sat up. Looking at her, “why do you need to spell that” David asked. “Mummy gave it to me as a spelling word, you know how mean” Alice mumbled and continued writing. ‘Outside is a garden, full of flowers. Mostly roses but no red ones, I asked mum. She just said ‘when roses die, so does love’ I wanted to reject but she had already walked away and now I have to share this dumb book with David. I should have told mum I was sorry or she would have never have given me this book to share. Worst Christmas ever’ David looked over Alice’s shoulder as she wrote. “Alice, it’s not your fault we have to share. Mother has little money, we are lucky to get something at all” Alice didn’t look up; she was stared down at the blank paper. “Why do we have such little money” She asked, finally she asked. But David didn’t know how to answer.
  5. Then door bust open, two slim unknown people came in. They both were dressed in grey, their hair was short and they both had grey eyes. Twin girls, David could make out a long blade in their hands. He quickly garbed the book and shoved it into his brown bag that hung over his shoulder. Then he held Alice’s hand, “What do you want” he asked trying to keep his voice from wavering in fear. They both chuckled at the same time, in the same annoying voice. “We have come for you two,” They both chanted at the same time, smiling cheerfully. “Don’t try and fight or your fate will be the same as your mother’s” David stiffened; the knife did had blood on it. Alice was already in tears, hugging David tightly. “Follow” They both commanded in one voice, David lead Alice out behind them. Trying to be brave, when all he wanted was to scream but he had to take care of Alice. “David Henderson, I don’t want to go with them” Alice called me by my last name to get me to listen. She was smart, but only when she wants to be. “Alice, I have to keep you safe” David mumbled as they got into a carriage, Alice was almost up when David whispered in her ear.
  6. “Run away, I’ll find you one day. Wait for me and don’t go back to the house or look back” Alice could make out the edge of a red book in his bag. Then she ran, “No,” they both cried behind David. Pulling him in the carried with an iron grip, he didn’t struggle. “Oh well,” One of them said alone for the first time. “Well still have you, you’re ours now” David shook his head wildly “I am no one’s” Then they changed the topic “Where is your father” David blinked as they yelled at him. “He was in the study, we can’t talk to him” They both chuckled, “your mother wasn’t very smart,” they bust out in laughter. Then they grew serious “your father went missing eleven years ago”
  7. (Part 1) Summemr starts
  8. “Okay what should we do” Alex asks on the other end of the phone, she has her most cheery voice on. Usually I would complain about how cheery she was but it is summer, finally. No school, holidays at least for four weeks. “I was planning on sleeping in but I can’t,” I laugh, I like to sleep in but I can’t anymore because I have to catch the bus for school. “We could to that amusement park” I suggested “No, haven’t you seen the movies. The movies at the park aliens take over or something goes wrong” Alex yells, I move the phone a little away from my ear. “Alex, what movies have you been watching” No answer, I can hear her sigh lightly “horror movies” she says sadly. “Well Karen wants us to meet at the beach, but I-“ “Yes, beach. I’ll pick you put in twenty” She hanged up before I could reject. “I hate the beach” I know the only thing going thought Alex’s mind is ‘guys, guys, guys’
  9. “Did I mention I hate the beach” I ask annoyed, the huge waves crashing over rocks. It’s petty to look at but not be I have a problem with salt water. Maybe I drink too much of it as a kid? “Just for the last two minutes” Alex sighed flicking her black hair out of her face, the wind is blowing strong and sadly a hot wind. “Oh look there is Karen” I say pointing to a blond girl that is mostly likely Karen. Alex crinkled up her face, “Rosella Henderson, why is Karen so tan” Alex cried. I pat her on the back “It’s alright, now let’s go over to her”
  10. The next one will be more exciting. I am terriable at starting stories. I hope you enjoyed and please comment. I havent write in awhile so I would love feed back
