  1. I realize how crazy running away is. But why not run away? No one loves me here. Marcos in the hospital. I have no other friends. I guess Halo is alright. But there is really nothing to stay for. I know there is a price to pay for leaving. Like never seeing Justin again. I jump out my open window, onto the prickly brown grass. I am ready. I didn't have anything but the watches on my wrist. 2:24....
  2. I stand up and freeze. I hear something behind me. Then a voice. "Skylar, why?" It was Justin. "Justin, oh, hi, I'm just you know..." "Running away?" I look up. He is smiling. "You really want to do that?" I look down." I don't have a choice." "You have three." "What?" "Stay. Run away. Or run away with me.
  3. What? I didn't think Justin knew my name, let alone where I lived. He wanted to run away with me. "Why would you run away?" "Brittany asked me out. That's a question I don't really want to answer. Why are you?" " I didn't see a point in staying, no one loves me." If this was a fairy tale, he say he loved me. But life sure isn't a fairy tale. "My only reason staying is Velicity."
  4. Velicity. 5 ft & 6in. Of jock bait. Other words, the popular nice chick. "Oh yay of course." "Have you heard?" He asks. I shake my head no. "I broke up with her earlier. I knew I was runing away." I hadn't heard. "SKYLAR!!!" Oh no. Mom saw I was gone. "3" I said. "What?" "Third choice: run away with you." And like that we were off.
  5. It was weird at first. We didn't talk, and I had no idea where on earth he was leading me. I just followed him. To break the silence I said, "So you guys won that last football game?" "Yeah. 34 us 21 them." "Cool." "How'd you do on the science test?" I didn't want to answer. I'm really not that smart. I got a C+, but made in through with and overall B+ in Science for the semester. "Where are we going?" "You'll see."
  6. I was getting nervous, VERY nervous. Where was he taking me??? Why couldn't I know. "I never really liked Velicity that much." I had no response. "She was kind and all, but easily persuaded me. She kind of took advantage of me." I felt like Justin was taking to himself. "Maybe that's why I am running away."
  7. That's when you reach it the big old house. There were cracks all over it, and rusted broke windows. "I would take my girlfriends here." To make out, I think. So why was I hear? I'm sure not his girlfriend. You take a step forward
  8. That's when I'm knocked out.
