There are two basic ways to describe the beliefs of a person in authority: Conservative, or Liberal. In modern politics, it's a generally accepted fact that Conservatives are Republicans, and Liberals are Democrats; although this is not always the case.

  2. Should the government give everyone an equal opportunity, or help certain people who need it more than others?
  3. What's more important: tradition, or change?
  4. What should people use to make sophisticated political decisions?
  5. Should the Constitution (or commandments, rules, etc.) be interpreted very closely, and be the main platform used in politics?
  6. Is diversity a good thing or a bad thing?
  7. Someone is in trouble: who should fix the problem?
  8. Should punishment be as harsh as the crime itself?
  9. What's more important for a government? (as a whole)
  10. Should citizens be allowed to defend themselves, no matter how harsh the situation?
