  1. Patch and I walked into theater 11 and looked around for Ezra and the rest of the group. We walked up steps and I noticed all the girls in the theater were staring and twirling their hair as Patch walked past them. "Looks like you have fans." I laughed and elbowed Patch. "What?" He looked at me. I tilted my head towards all the girls fan girling over him. As soon as he saw them he started grinning. He waved at them and then the girls started giggling. "Over here!" Ezra screamed from the back of the theater. Patch and I laughed as we walked up to them. We were halfway up the stairs towards the back when I heard a blood curling scream.
  2. I covered my ears and flinched. Once the screaming had stopped I looked around to see what had happened. Two security guards were dragging out a girl my age. "No! The shadows! They're here!" She screamed and kept squirming in their grip. One of the security guards laughed at her and shook his head as if she were crazy. "Shadows?" Patched glanced at me and I knew that we were both thinking the same thing. I quickly walked back down to the front of the large theater and followed the security and girl out to the lobby. "Listen. We don't have time for your pranks okay? Just be lucky we're letting you off with a warning." One of the men said to her. "You don't underst-" She was cut off by a man. "Enough. Phoebe." A man walked up to them. He was tall and was were a very expensive suit. He looked rich, and I could tell he was probably a leader of a multi millionaire company. "Dad-" "Not now." He glared at her and then looked back at the men. "I'm sorry. You know teenagers." The man with he copper colored hair laughed and the men joined him.
  3. After a minute the men left and the girl, Phoebe, and her father were left standing alone in the lobby. "Why do you always do this Phoebe?" The man looked down at her, but she was looking away, as if she were hurt. The man sighed. "I'll be waiting for you in the car." He said and left her behind. Before she left I walked up to her with Patch. "Hi," I smiled at her. She had dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. She looked up at me. "Hi.." She replied a little slowly. "So I saw you talking about shadows and-" "Look." She snapped. "If you're here to make fun of me don't bother. Just bug off." She gave me and angry look. "Oh no I didn't-" I got cut off by Patch. "She can see them, too. That's the only reason we're talking to you." He got straight to the point. She looked over us for a few seconds. "What do they look like?" She challenged. I assumed she thought I was lying. I sight and explained to her how they were like dark figures made out of smoke and mist. Her eyes widened. "I'm not the only one." She said more to herself then us. I shook my head. "I just recently started seeing them." I told her. "How long have you been seeing them?" Patch asked her. "Since I was a little kid." She replied.
  4. "What are you?" Patch asked. "What do you mean?" She asked. "Fallen angel? Nephilim? Vampire? Werewolf? Do you have any powers, is what I'm trying to say." He explained. She looked at him as if he were some kind of rare alien species. "What in the hell are you talking about? Is he on drugs?" She looked at me. I held back my laughter and looked at Patch. I shrugged and he looked at me. "She's human.." He whispered to me. "No, I thought she was some kind of magical fairy." I replied sarcastically. "I didn't know humans could see shadows." I said after a moment. "I didn't either. But I just remembered that some humans are born with the sight." He explained to me. "Sight? So they can see shadows?" I asked. "Not only that, but our whole world." He stared at Phoebe. "Sight? What sight?" Phoebe asked. I glared at Patch who pretty much just told her all about our life. He looked at me for help. "It's to late now. We have to tell her." I said to him. "We? I was hoping you could." He replied. I rolled my eyes. "I guess I will, but not here. Do you have a cellphone?" I asked her. She nodded. "Here's my number." She dialed her number into my phone and I saved it.
  5. After I saved her number, Patch and I went back into the theater. "Holy crap," my jaw dropped in awe. We were gone for 10 minutes but the theater was packed. and Thankfully the movie hadn't started yet. The previews were almost over. "Sh-t. Our seats were taken." Patch said as he looked at the back of the theater. I saw Ezra talking on the phone, typical of her. My phone suddenly went off and I answered. It was Ezra. "I'm so sorry!" I saw her frown from across the room. "Security made me give up the seats because you guys were gone to long." She added. "hey they're are two seats left over here." Patch said from behind me. I turned around and saw a few open seats in the front middle section. "It's okay. We found seats." I replied into the phone. "Okay. I'll see you after the movie." "I LOVE YOU!" I heard Alex yell in the background and I saw him wave from the back. I just laughed and sat down next to Patch.
  6. We sat down and watched the previews to movies. The last preview was of Magic Mike and I was practically drooling over Channing Tatum the whole time. The lights were lowered but I noticed two bright lights flashing around. I turned around to see where they were coming from and that's when I saw the same two security guards talking to Ezra. "Look," I elbowed Patch and he turned to look at them. "What's happening?" He asked. "I don't know." I replied. Soon Ezra was standing up and so were Katherine, Jake, Calisto and Alex. I watched them as they were escorted down the stairs and out the door. "Let's go," Path said and we both stood up to see what was wrong. I walked out and saw the two guys talking to the group. "What happened?" I asked interrupting the man. "We got kicked out of the theater." Ezra replied. "Why?" Patch asked. "This boy," The guard pointed to Alex. "was stripping during the Magic Mike trailer, and these ladies were laughing loudly and encouraging him. We got complaints." He finished. "You stripped? In public?" Patch asked laughing. "Alexander!" I scowled at him.
  7. We apologized to the security and walked out of the theater before we could cause anymore trouble. "Since Alex got us kicked out of the theater, do you guys want to go to the park?" Katherine asked. "Yes!"Ezra jumped to answer. "Sure," I replied. It was almost dark out but we didn't care, plus it wouldn't stop Ezra and Alex from going. I got back in the car with the same guys but Josh was driving and Patch was in the passengers seat. "I swear if you fart again I'm going to shave your head in your sleep." I said to Alex. He just grinned at me. "I can't believe you actually got us kicked out of the theater." Josh said to him. "and before the movie even started." Patch added laughing. "What can I say?" He smirked. The park wasn't very far away so we got there in less than 10 minutes.
  8. We all got out of the car and went to the open field. There was no one at the park other then us. I had no idea what we were doing here but I didn't really mind. It was nice out and I was with a bunch of dorks. "Guess what we bought?" Jake and Calisto smiled at us. "What?" Alex stared at them with big eyes. "Fireworks." Jake replied. "For what?" Ezra asked. "Just for fun. "Calisto replied. They got the firework out from the back of the car and carried it to the field. "Awesome," Alex stared at the giant box full of fireworks. Jake took out one of the fireworks and set it up. "Lighter," He looked at Calisto who took out a lighter from his pocket and handed it to Jake. He lit the firework up and in a few seconds, it shot out into the dark sky and exploded. "Ohh," We all stared at the colorful sparks of red and orange that lit up the sky.
  9. "I found a frisbee!" Alex walked next to a tree and picked up a shiny blue disc. "Someone must have forgot it," He added. He flicked his wrist and the disc whipped across the Patch who caught it easily. "Nice throw," He grinned and whipped it back to Alex. Katherine and Ezra walked laid a blanket out down on the grass and laid there watching the fireworks. Another boom went off and the sky was decorated by soft white lights that made a crackling noise and looked like a weeping willow.
  10. "____, catch!" I heard Alex yell from about 10 feet away. I didn't have time to thing and the disc whizzed back my head behind me. "Holy crap you could've decapitated me!" I scowled at Alex. "Sorry," He apologized. I turned around and groaned. The disc had flew into the small woods surrounding the hiking path. "I'll go get it." I shouted back at them and continued into the woods. It was dark and creepy but I ignored the feelings it gave me. I walked in about five feet and spotted the disc. "____." I heard something whisper my name from somewhere from the depths of the woods. My body went cold and goosebumps broke out over my skin. I slowly walked to the disc and just as I was about to grab it, something grabbed me from behind.
