  1. A few months pass by, and before you know it, it is June. You take your exams, and Harry has been hiding something from you. He has been checking out books from the library and hiding them, and he had spent even more time with Ron and Hermoine. Hermoine rarely even talks to you anymore. The only one who did was Neville. He was the only person who ever actually spoke to you anymore. After your exams are over, you see Ron, Harry, and Hermoine running into a corridor. You wanted to follow them, but you didn't. If they were ignoring you, they obviously weren't your friends. You went into your little depression state again, but you would still talk to Neville. Eventually you lost your joy from Quidditch, but you still went. You were alone. Except for Neville. He was always there. He was the only true friend you made this year. You remembered how Hermoine said you were going to be great friends. You were for a while, then she just ignored you. You wanted anyone to talk to you. You'd even talk to Draco, but he didn't talk to you after your last confrontation. One day you're walking to the common and the staircase moves. You think about when you were hanging from it, your life depending on your friends. You think about how Neville was the one to save you. How Harry and Hermoine just stood there. Did they ever care? They were their own trio. You started peeling off from people. In class you always tried to sit alone. At meals you always put at least one seat between you and people (but it was usually taken at some point). The only time you were alone was when Hermoine had late night talks with Harry and Ron and you could shut the curtain. You go sit in your dormitory, and think about how the only person to talk to you in the last few months was Neville. You lied down, face in your pillow, and cried. You closed your curtain around your area, and cried. You had a little box under your bed that you kept special things in. You looked in it for the first time in months.
  2. Inside the box were letters from your parents, and the feather from your first Charms class that you levitated without looking at. You didn't look in it for a while because you had no reason to. It was the last day of the term, so you start packing your suitcase. You're done in about an hour. After bout 45 more minutes of crying, the door opens. You stop crying and just bury your face in your pillow. The curtain opens and you know it's Hermoine. She says "______________?" You pick up your face a little and say "I'm surprised you remember my name." She sits down and says "why wouldn't I? You're my best friend." You smirk. She says "what's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" You say "it's just funny to hear that after you barely speak to me for months." She says "__________ I know that what I did was wrong, but if you'd just let me explain." You stop crying and sit up. She says "we found out something. I wanted to tell you, but Harry said it was too dangerous. We just saved a lot of lives." You look at her and say "what?" She says "have you ever heard of the Sorcerer's Stone?" You shake your head and she says "it has the power to revive anyone. Professor Quirrel had you-know-who under his turban. He was trying to get it so he could revive him and he could rise to power again. We took the stone. We have been researching it forever. I was up late a lot begging to tell you, but Harry always said no." You smiled. She wasn't ignoring you. You ask her "where are Harry and Ron?" She sighs and says "Ron's in the Hospital Wing and Harry is still down there."
  3. You go down to see Ron and he is knocked-out. After about 25 minutes you go down to the Great Hall for dinner. You see Draco looking at you, but you ignore him. You and Hermoine sit down. You say "we set for next year?" She says "we're set for life." You smile and say "It's so great having a friend like you. I was scared to come here, afraid no one would like me." She laughs and says "does it seem stupid now?" You nod and Neville comes in. He says hello and overhears you and Hermiony talking about next year. He says "are we still going to be friends next year?" You look at him. You say "if you can't tell the answer, you're stupid. In case you can't the answer is obviously yes. You're one of the best friends I've ever had!" You both smile as Ron comes into the room. You say "you're awake." He says "you saw me?" Hermoine says "we went to see you." He says "well I'm sorry I was not conscious to greet you." You laugh. You say "I just got an idea." All 3 of them look at you. You say "the 4 of us should make one last big awesome 1st year memory." They all agree, and you plan something hilarious. After dinner, you go to get started.
  4. After dinner, you all go back to the common room. The next day you were all going to do something you would never forget. You just had to figure out what. You look at Ron and Hermoine, because they already had their thing. But you had harassing Draco with Neville. You should all have something together. Ron says "we could do a big attack on Malfoy?" You say "I think we've done that enough this year." Everyone laughs as Hermoine says "we could levitate things to say something like 'Hogwarts rules!' or something like that. You say "maybe. Think people think. We got 4 great wizards here. We can think of something!" Someone walks in and says "what are the 4 great wizards trying to do?" You turn around. It was Harry. You say "we're planning something big to do tomorrow." He asks what is it? I wanna help." You say "you can, if you help us think of something. We want to make a big memory for 1st year, for all of us. Not just groups." He nods and everyone thinks. Neville says "we can conjure up some birds and make them attack or follow people?" You think. You say "maybe." Harry says "maybe something that has to do with fire. Like an end-of-the-year-bonfire?" Everyone nods. Hermoine says "the only problem with that is the only time anyone will be able to bare a fire is at night, and we leave tomorrow morning." Ron says "so let's do it today."
  5. You go outside and gather up some easily burnable things, like sticks. Ron says "should we get my brothers?" Neville says "this is supposed to be the 5 of us." Ron nods and says "fire anyone?" You point your wand at the pile and say "Incendio" and instantly the sticks go ablaze. You smile and say "we should do this every year. An end-of-term bonfire." Everyone agrees and Neville says "it's been a great year being here with all of you. I wouldn't give it up for the world." Harry says ___________ do you have all of your memories back?" You say "I wouldn't know. Why?" He says "because you'll need more room for all of the new ones we're all going to make together." You smile and everyone sits around the fire. Hermoine asks "how do you know all of these spells?" You say "I read ahead in textbooks in my free time." She nods and she says "why don't I do that?!" You say "I can teach you." She smiles and you all sit around and talk. Eventually Ron says "what was everyone's favorite moment of the year?" Harry says "defeating you-know-who and saving countless lives." You nod and Neville says "mine was when ________ and I covered Draco in snow right after Christmas." You laugh and say "you liked that more than when he was in the tree?" He smiles and says "this seems a little worse." Everyone laughs and Hermoine says "when everything got better for us all." Ron says "mine is the same as Harry. What's your's _______?" You say "I have a few. One is the same as Neville, one was making the Quidditch team, one is when I got my memory back, and the last one was when I met you all." Hermoine asks "the first or second time?" You all laugh and you say "both." Neville says "worst part of the year?" This was going to be tough.
  6. Harry begins with "each time I was almost killed." Neville says "always being bullied by Draco and the rest of the stupid Slytherins." Ron says "Same as Neville." Hermoine says "when my best friend didn't remember me, and each time we were all in danger." You hesitate but no one forgot that you had not spoke. Neville says "_______ what was yours?" You say "losing my memory, being bullied by Draco, each time I lost my wand, and hanging off the edge of a moving staircase." Everyone nods in agreement. You talk for a lot longer then extinguish the fire and go up to sleep. You wake up early the next morning and get ready for the train.
  7. You all board the train together and get a compartment to yourselves. You made plans to see Hermoine over the summer. You all talked the entire way, but no one said much about the bonfire. You were all talking when Draco came to the front of the compartment. He sais "Potter. Weasley. Longbottom. ________. Mudblood." (Hermoine choked up at that), "You may be victorious this year, but I'll have the final laugh in the end. Just wait and see." You laugh and say "good luck with that Malfoy" and slam the door shut in his face. Soon, you reach the train station. When you get off the train, you see your parents and Annie waiting for you. They are only a few feet away so all 5 of you walk over to them. You introduce everyone. You ask your parents "when we exit may I meet Hermoine's parents?" They nod and you exit platform 9 3/4. You hug all of your friends and say "see you in September." Ron says "hopefully before then." You laugh as you all go separate ways. You look back at your friends. You and Hermoine walk towards two people. She says "hi" and they look up. They say "welcome back Hermoine." They see you and ask "who's this?" She says "this is my friend __________." They introduce themselves to you and your parents. You write down your cell phone number on a piece of paper and give it to Hermoine. You tell her "nce you think you got a plan, call me." She laughs and agrees. You hug her once more and depart.
  8. You climb into the car with your parents and your best friend. She is quiet in the car. Your parents ask you "so how was your first year of school?" You smile and tell them everything. Including the bad parts, but focusing on the good ones. Once you get home, Annie starts to walk away. You grab her arm and say "where do you think you're going? I have not seen you in forever!" She says "I know." You sigh and say "what's the problem? Is it that I go to a new school now?" She says "that's only a part of it." You tell her "come on, you need to tell me what's wrong! Plus I wanna hear all about the year." She follows you to a table in your back yard. You sit down and you ask her "so what's the problem?" She sighs and says "It's a little embarrassing." You say "nothing is embarrassing. Just yell me!" She says "I feel like that Hermoine girl is going to replace me as your best friend." You shake your head and say "no. Not possible. She will be there for me when I'm at school, but I'll always need you. For when I'm here, for when no one's available there, or if I just need to talk." She nods and says "you promise?" You nod and say "swear it on my life." She smiles and says "good to see you again." She tells you about her year, and you can't help but feel guilty that you deserted her.
  9. After she finishes talking you sit for a while. You finally ask "are you mad?" She says "mad about what?" You say "mad that I went to a new school? That I deserted you in a time that you may need me?" She says "I am upset that you went there, I'll admit it. But, I know you wanted to go there. And I know it is where you belong. Whatever school you go to, no matter how odd it seems, no matter where you are, I'll always support you." You smile and hug her. She says "I should go home. It's getting late." You just realize it is getting dark. You say "wow that was a long talk. I'll see you tomorrow." She nods and goes to her house, and you go inside yours.
  10. When you're inside, you sit on the couch in the living room. Your mother says "we're going to order in. What would you like?" After 10 minutes of thinking you say pizza. Your father comes up to you. He says "so you're on the Quidditch team now?" You smile and nod. He says "that's fantastic. I would like to see you fly, see if you're better than me." You laugh and say "what about the muggles?" He says "leave it to me." You grab your broom and go outside. Your dad pulls out his wand and says "repello muggletum." You say "what?" He says "muggle repellant charm." You smile and get on the broom. You kick off and fly around the yard. He smile and say "how am I doing?" He says "you're doing great! Some of the best flying I've ever seen!" You smile as you descend back to the ground. Your father takes the broom and flies around the yard. You laugh as he almost falls several times. He says "don't laugh it's been years!" You continue laughing and say "I learned a trick at school. Wanna see?" He nods and you take your wand out of your pocket. You point at a rock and say "Wingardium-" Your father yells "NO!" You stop saying the spell. He says "you can't do magic during the summer! You'll be kicked out of school!" You gasp and put the wand away. Your father says "will I need to hide that wand?" You shake your head no. You go inside for dinner and think about how you can't use magic for about 2 months.
  11. When you wake up the next morning, you see an owl tapping at the window. You smile and open it. You don;t recognize the owl but remember seeing it in the owlry at school. You take the letter but the owl won't leave. You shut the window and sit down to open the letter. You see it's from Ron. It says "__________, hope you're enjoying summer so far! Even though it's been a day. I just wanted to send an owl and say hello. This is my brother Percy's owl. I told him not to leave until you write me back because I know you don't have one. -Ron" and it looks like Fred and George tried to get their names in there too. You get some parchment and write a reply. You send it with the owl. You look at the clock and realize it's 10:00. You rush downstairs and your mother says "tired?" You say "no, I got a letter from a friend." They nod and you have some cereal for breakfast. After you eat you go up to your father. You say "dad, you work for the Ministry right?" He says "you finally figured it out?" You say "I figured it out on my first day of school actually. I just wanted to ask something." He nods and says "ask away." You say "is Annie a muggle?" He looks at you and says "I think so. She didn't get a letter." You say "then how could she see the school?" Your mother says "one of her parents may be a wizard, and the muggle blood may overpower the witch or wizard blood. They still have some sort of magic in their blood, so they technically aren't muggles, but they aren't magic." You nod and go to think about what they just told you.
