I Bet You Don't Speak Japanese.

All of the horrible "How much Japanese do you speak?" weeb quizzes were annoying me, so I made my own. I speak Japanese well enough to read novels and enjoy them-- can you make me proud?

This is a difficult quiz. Don't expect to see questions like "What does konnichiwa mean"-- you're better than that, I'm better than that, and we can do better than that. These are actually pertaining to the language, not misspelled pseudo-japanese.

  1. Okay easy stuff first. Which of these is not an animal?
  2. Which of these is not a word for making sounds with your mouth (i.e. talking, singing, etc)?
  3. Which of these is not a personal pronoun?
  4. Time to up the ante-- let's do some sentences. Answer the question: オレンジの色は何色のか？ orenji no iro wa nanshoku no ka?
  5. Keigo test! Rewrite this sentence using the correct, most polite keigo: 勉強してるの？
  6. Puzzle time yay. You can solve this without being able to read the kanji, so I'm not giving you romaji this time. What's the missing kanji in this sequence: 唱　腕　焼　＿　机　銅　城
  7. Which of these is not a part of your face?
  8. Obligaory anime question for all the otaku out there: In the anime No.6, one character says to another,「君に出逢えてよかった」kimi ni deaete yokatta. Select the best translation:
  9. Second obligatory anime question: In the anime Gintama, a show famous for the many pop culture references it makes, why is it funny that the weather girl's name is Ketsuno Ana? You don't need to have seen Gintama to answer this question.
  10. 最後の質問: Last question! この夏休み、どこ行くつもり？ kono natsuyasumi, doko iku tsumori?
