I was shown as a North Central even though I was born and raised about 2 years of my life in California and now I live in Nevada so I am a little confused because I don't even think I have an accent.

BillClinton- Am I pretty?
Boy- No

BillClinton- Do you want to be with me forever?

Boy- No
BillClinton- Will you cry if I walked away?
Boy- No

It said I had The Midland accent, which was kind of funny because I live all the way down in southern Louisiana. But I think they got it right, because I don't have a hint of a natural southern accent.

Totally wrong; Said I was 100% Philadelphian and I was born (Texas) and raised (FL and NC) well south of Pennsylvania. Formative years in South Florida and mountains of NC.

I'm told by your test I have an inland north accent. I was born and raised in California and have lived in the Northeast for the past 48 years and have never lived where my "accent" says I'm from.

I guess nurture trumps nature - born in CA, raised in the Puget Sound, lived in one or the other my whole life but raised by two native New Yorkers. Quiz puts me in the NYC area at a 90% rating.

My report came back 100% Boston. I've lived my entire life in central Massachusetts, yet don't have an extreme accent like Bostonians do. I guess my way of speaking is still from here though. Accurate results!

Mine states Inland North and alludes to Wisconsin and Chicago. Never been to Wisconsin have been once to Chicago. I was born in Missouri and have been raised in California since 1 year of age.

well this was right about me in one way and other way no it was wrong i was born in Phoenix Arizona and have a southern accent i had a speech problem growing up and left me talking like i was from Texas and that is where one of the places it said i could be from. Do it is right and yet wrong.

100% Inland North. Totally true. Pop, skillet, marry=merry=Mary, caught/cot (the same????) I have lived in Northern Iowa/Southern Minnesota my entire life.

Fascinating. I'm purely and fully West Coast. However, my accent is largely "Midland." My parents were from that area before they moved to Southern California. Most interesting.

Funny, I'm Canadian from Northern Ontario. I took the quiz and it said I am from the 'West' so that is interesting. I live in Chicago now so it is very grating hearing 'o' pronounced like an 'a' all the time!

Yes, it correctly outed me as a native Bostonian. I HATE when people pronounce Mary, marry, and merry all the same - they are *completely* different. What is WRONG with you people???

I couldn't answer #8 accurately, because in my mind, "Mary" and "marry" are pronounced almost the same, while "merry" is pronounced differently because of the "e". I'm not sure what influence that had on my overall "score".

"Almost no accent" equals "Southern Illinois"? You must think Springfield is "Southern Illinois." My mother and grandparents were from truly southern Illinois (Harrisburg), and they have as southern an accent as natives of Tennessee.

This is hilarious! I am British, born and bred. The quiz says I'm from North East America. Well, I did spend five days in New York a couple of years ago. Maybe I picked up the accent!

Correct on placement. Not quite right of on comments. Grew up in IL. Live in OH. Spent some time in southern IL, so I call carbonated beverages soda not pop. Also I do live theater, so I have learned to ennunciate words clearly.

The results were right on the mark! You say I have a North Central accent or Minnesoata accent. I am from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with an accent somewhere between Minnesota and Canada.

Ha Ha! I took it twice...first one said 85% Southern, and second one said 88% Philly...Neither one are totally right. I am from the South, New Orleans, which has an accent ALL it's OWN...and I don't mean just Cajun...may be a mixture, but I love the accent, and I can tell if anyone is from there. No twang sound nor Southern drawl...it is unique!
