"Fair enough, but still!" Lavender rolled her eyes. Cleverly turned to go to another street. "I think you can stop hiding now."

Maeve peeked over her shoulder.

Cleverly wasn't there. Lavender watched her with a small chuckle.

Maeve stepped away from her. The cloud disappeared

Lavender smiled. "Ready to go back in the shop?"

'Yep.' Maeve dragged her back inside. Basil threw a mop at her.

Lavender followed her, catching the mop so it didn't hit Maeve in the face.

‘Clean up before the shop opens, I don’t want customers slipping!’ Basil said, disappearing behind the counter.
‘Stupid leaf,’ Maeve grumbled, taking the mop from Lavender.
‘Should I tell Oliver to tell Chester you’re wagging school AGAIN, then?’
‘No!’ -
Lavender giggled, watching her mop up the floor. "How often do you ditch school?"

‘A lot. Like, most days,’ Maeve said.

"Maeve!"

‘Yes, Lavendwr?’

"You can't ditch that much school!"

‘Pfft, yes I can,’ Maeve said, continuing to mop.
