Adrienne hummed as they sat down beside Octavia, crossing their legs in their seat and setting their board in their lap.

"it was way too cold out there for a skirt. My sister is going to get the lecture of a lifetime when I get home." Octavia said

"Do you wanna borrow my jacket? Cover your legs more or somethin'?" Adrienne asked, looking over at Octavia.

"I'm alright now that we're not sitting outside. Wearing a skirt in cold weather is different when you're expecting to go inside instead of standing outside." Octavia said

"Mm, that's fair," Adrienne replied with a nod, running a hand through their hair.

"the weather should start getting warmer soon enough." Octavia said

"Man, I hope so- as much as I love the cold, I'm kinda gettin' sick of it," Adrienne said with a chuckle, nodding a little.

"cold weather is unproductive. Which is normally fine but I'd prefer to get back on track personally. My radishes are going to burst through the pots any day now and I need to transplant them to the garden before that happens." Octavia said, drawing a little radish in her notebook

"Oh s---, you garden?" Adrienne asked with a small smile, watching Octavia. "That's sick as hell- I wish I could garden, but I keep all the plants I get," they added, chuckling softly.

"I love gardening. It's minimal effort with maximum outcomes. You can keep what you grow just fine. It depends on the plants really. I had a poinsettia I kept alive for two whole years before I messed up it's watering cycle." Octavia said

"That's sick as hell," Adrienne said with a chuckle, nodding. "I've tried to grow some stuff, but I'm not all that good at it-"

"you couldn't be too bad at it. What did you plant?" Octavia asked

"I tried to plant some tomatoes, and it didn't end well," Adrienne replied, chuckling softly.

"tomatoes can be tricky. How long did you germinate them?" Octavia asked

"uhh- what's that mean?"
