Ernie’s eyes widened. Selene managed to move. Not much, mind you, but enough to be noticeable.

Mahina didn’t notice. The sparks continued to shoot.

Selene slowly managed to move more and more before letting out a shaky breath.

Mahina opened her eyes, the blue light fading. ‘Selene?’

Selene took a few moments before her response. “Yes?…”

Mahina gasped, lunged forward and wrapped her into a hug. ‘Selene!’

Ernie grinned.
“Y-yeah?” -
‘Oh god, you’re ok!’

Selene gave a small nod. “Of course I’m fine, why wouldn’t I be?..”

Mahina buried her face in Selene’s shoulder. ‘Do you not remember anything?’

Selene frowned. “No, I remember…. I remember….” She frowned. “No, I can’t.”

‘Oh… Well, I saved you with my awesome magic skills. You’re welcome.’

Selene raised an eyebrow. “Yeah right.”

‘I did! Tell her, Ernest!’

Ernie nodded. “She did. I have the spell book.”
