“I don’t care. It’s not fair to you. I’ll be more careful that he doesn’t come back in, alright?”

Chester nodded, nuzzling against him. ‘A-Alright.’

Jayden kissed his nose. “Love you.”
(Gonna go for the night, bye!) -
(Gn!)
Chester smiled softly, seeming to relax. ‘Love you too.’ -
Jayd offered him the chocolate bar again.

Chester glanced down at it before taking it.

Jayden gave a small smile, kissing the top of his head.

Chester leaned against him, taking a small nibbled from the chocolate bar.

Jayd looked at Chester. "What do you want me to do about Astrid?"

Chester sighed. ‘I don’t know.’

"Ok." Jayden cupped Chester's chin in his hand so he could see his eyes. "I know it's hard, but don't let him get to you, ok?"

‘I tried that five minutes ago, and look where that got me,’ Chester mumbled, Astrid’s voice still ringing in his mind. He hadn’t been angry, or sad… he’d been scared.
Chester Jackson doesn’t get scared. That’s what frightened him even more. -
Jayden gave a small nod. "I know. You did good." He said softly. "I'm so sorry."

Chester shut his eyes, free arm tightening around him. ‘It’s not your fault.’

"I don't care." Jayden shook his head. "I'm still sorry."
