Chester nodded. ‘Yes, of course,’ he pulled Jayden close, burying his face in his hair.

Jayden blushed, holding him tightly.

Chester sighed softly, taking a deep breath. Jayden is mine. Not Beatrice. He eventually pulled his head back. ‘I’m fine.’

Jayd didn’t like how long it took for him to answer the question. He frowned.

Chester smiled softly, caressing his cheek. ‘Let’s go to dinner.’

Jayden nodded, leaning his head on Chester’s hand slightly.

Chester smiled, kissing his forehead. ‘I love you.’

“I love you too.” Jayden smiled back.

That perked Chester back up. He wrapped an arm around his waist and walked to the dining hall.

Jayd blushed. Once they got there, he sat in his usual seat.

Chester sat next to him. Maeve appeared in the seat opposite him. She looked mad, and was glaring at him.

Jayden noticed. “What’s wrong, Maeve?” He asked, concerned.

Maeve was still staring at Chester, frowning. Chester exhaled sharply, giving her a death glare.
‘Nothing,’ she mumbled. -
Jayd looked at the two of them. “What’s happening?” He asked quietly.

‘Nothing,’ Chester mumbled, staring into Maeve’s eyes. His eyes flash red for a second, and Maeve’s does too. ‘Nothing is happening.’
