Jayden sat next to Lavender. "Could I help?"

Maeve put sand on Chester’s knee, who rolled his eyes and brushed it off.
‘Sure!’ Lavender said happily. -
Jayden grinned, helping her build one of the towers.

Chester packed some of the sand onto the bottom of Maeve’s castle.
‘You’re doing it wrong!’
‘If it doesn’t have a strong foundation it’ll fall over!’
‘You’re making it fat!’ -
Jayden laughed, focusing on making his tower really tall. "Does this look okay?"

‘Yeah,’ Lavender nodded, making the middle of the castle look pretty.

"Cool." Jayden smiled, still building the tower.

Maeve threw sand at Chester.
‘Hey!’ -
Jayden watched the two of them, laughing.

‘Ha!’
‘Ok, rude!’ -
Jayden laughed, grabbing a twig to put on the top of his tower.

Chester put a shell on the top of their very bad castle.
‘It’s ugly.’
‘Like you.’ -
Jayden kept watching the two of them. "Chester, don't be a bully."

Maeve giggled. ‘Yeah, listen to Jayden!’ She put sand on his knee again.
Chester scoffed but chuckled, finding another half broken shell and putting it on.
‘Plus, we all know I got the good genes.’
‘Hey!’ -
Jayden chuckled, putting the finishing touches on his tower.
