Lily sighed then took one of Anne's pawns. "Almost equal" she chuckled even though Anne was definitely in the lead by far.

Anne laughed and moved her bishop two squares left. 'Check.'

"Does that mean I'm out?" Lily asked quizically.

'No, you're out when it's checkmate. When you can't move your king without it getting taken away.'

Lily grinned moving her pawn to the right. -

'No, pawns can only move forward,' Anne said, stifling a chuckle, as she moved Lily's pawn back to where it originally was. 'Unkess when taking a piece out, in which case they move diagonal.' -
(I'm so dumb ðŸ˜)
"This is really confusing" she stated with a small chuckle. "Sorry, I'm not use to games like this" -
(Chess probably wasn't the best choice 😂)
Anne laughed. 'It's not your fault. And it's still your turn.' -
"I don't know where to move then!" Lily laughed.

'Move your queen, because my bishop could take her.'

Lily nodded doing what Anne instructed.

'Good,' Anne said with a smile, moving her own pawn forward. 'Check... Checkmate!'

"Aww, you got me, good job" she laughed.

Anne chuckled. 'Play again? Or is it too confusing?'

"Is it alright if we maybe do something different for now?" Lily asked anxiously, not wanting to upset Anne in anyway.
