"I am Bluewind Mars. You must be Regina Triatus." The nymph's breathing was forced and agitated, and she was rigid in her seat. "Swear not to tell anyone you saw me, or I’m afraid that your good soul will have to flit off to Heaven."
"You know what I mean." Bluewind coughed. "Anyway—I need you." She glanced at Regina warily. "I need you to help me before I die." Bluewind patted down her torn clothes, a tunic and a plain dark green shirt.
Bluewind suddenly leaped to her feet. "It would matter all the more." Her eyes darted around feverishly, as if looking for something to focus on. "Swear not to tell," she insisted. "No matter what it does to you, don’t tell."
"It’s much more complicated than that. Regina, I’ll give you every answer I possibly have, if you can just swear not to tell anyone else." Bluewind didn’t know much about human manners, but she gathered that it was rude to kidnap a stranger to have a shot at saving the world.
"I swear, now tell me." she said, getting a bit impatient. You see, Regina had just been taking a walk in the forest to calm herself down. Her mother was always nagging at her to do many things and it felt like she never got a second of peace.
Bluewind sucked in a breath. "Well, Doomsday is due in three weeks, most of the world is going to be destroyed then, you’re the only one who can stop it, and you have an extremely short time to find the seven stones."
Bluewind sighed, exasperated. "The end of the world is going to be in three weeks. You have approximately two and a half weeks to find seven stones that are scattered around the world, and while you’re at it, you also have me to help you. I thought you already knew."
Bluewind laughed hoarsely. "I wish it was," she told Regina. "I wish it was," she murmured. "If only." She sat up straight, sighing. "So, you do know myths and all, and all those myths about monsters, don’t you? Kappas, sirens, dwarves?" The nymph glanced at Regina expectantly.
