I’ve been isolating myself for the past few years for mental health reasons, HOWEVER, I think I’m doing better now. I want to do better and I want to quit the cycle of disappearing on my friends for months on ends.
So this is a list I made that I need to strictly adhere to. Future June, if you somehow manage to stray from this list, no indulging in anything nice for a week >:(
- Get schoolwork done in time. No waiting last minute. No more 11:59 deadlines. Get it done a few days before it’s due.
- Go back to updating Quotev stories. Your writing skills have gotten rusty and it shows. Get back to work and improve. Actually try to publish a book, okay? There’s no use in saying you want to be an author if you don’t want to work towards it. No more excuses. Work.
- Socialize with those you know online and irl. Yes, you have a social battery. No, it does not get to be drained 24/7. Don’t call yourself someone’s friend if you aren’t acting like one.
- Draw at least 1-2 times a week. Your drawings are looking rough nowadays. I’m not telling you to draw scribbles. No scribbles. Draw OCs, fanart, etc. Or just do anatomy practice. Idc what it is, but it has to be SOMETHING
- Read five chapters of a book a week. If you do more, great. We need to visit the library more often though. It used to be fun. Get off that phone and enhance your brain.
- Go driving at least twice a week. We need that license bbg. No license means no job which means no money for shopping. GO DRIVE.
Okay, that’s it. June, follow those rules or else 😚 mwah mwah love you we can do it!! -
oh my gosh i went through the exact same thing and im in the process of healing too (and welcome back june, it’s been a minute!! 🙃💛). these are all fantastic goals and i wholeheartedly believe in you! has socializing been rough for you? it’s really brave of you to take that first initiative to step out of the loop, since i know the first step is always the hardest to take:))

and also i did notice the ‘no indulging in anything nice!’ part and it made me smile lol, but even if you slip up you still deserve nice things:)💛 progress definitely isn’t perfection, it’s slow, and im certain you’ve been doing a lot better than you think:)
