My avira control center thing is giving me a message saying my computer is not secure.on the side it gives me an option to fix the problem but when I click it it says update failed error n stuff.
However when I click on my action center it tells me I need to update.do I update? The publishers are avira GmbH and co. Kg with avira\antivir desktop\wsctool.exe is it safe to let it update? Reason I don't trust it cause its asking if I trust it and whatnot.when I click to verify the publisher it shows me certificate information and at the end it says certificate is okay....so wtf do I do? XD -
It sounds okay. Just about everything that applies updates will ask if you trust it.

Okay I let it update but update failed again XP could it be because my internet isn't connected?

Of course, most of the features need internet connection to update.

I assumed antivirus didn't need internet to update/run though?

When I click report it gives me 4 13 07 ups error generation of update structure failed.updatelin delivers error 537
