Very much so. I found a kitty whisker.
In a future society, everything is perfect for everyone, except for one person. A random baby is chosen a few short hours after its birth, taken from its family, and raised away from the rest of the community until it turns seven. Upon its seventh birthday, its memories are removed, it is locked in a tower away from everyone else, and all negative emotions flow to it. It becomes the scapegoat for the nation until it is overcome by insanity and the process repeats.
But the current one has discovered that there's a world outside her/his tower and sorrow. S/he escapes, and distress sweeps the city as people experience new emotions. Another boy/girl is a glitch in the perfect system, however, and has known the negative and positive emotions their entire life. Together the two keep the scapegoat out of the hands of the government, who is trying to kidnap her and lock her up again. -
