He was always late. That's how things went. He was even late when he first dragged her down into wonderland. Three years late.
But it didn't matter. Time wasn't really important here in Wonderland.
The Queen of Hearts had at first been Alice, the Alice in fact. But Alice hadn't been from England and fallen down a rabbit hole. She had escaped her collapsing Kingdom, the Kingdom of Casthegris.
Elliot, King of Hearts, had fallen in love with her, along with the other citizens of Wonderland.
Soon she had them all eating out of her hands. Most would use that power for evil, but not Alice. She spent thirty days with each of them, and in the end ended up marrying Elliot, so she could remain in this wonderful kingdom.
She spent time with her friends, though, of course. Lance and her went into the Dark woods often, exploring and telling jokes.
She'd sing for Alex the Butterfly, who'd in turn take her to the secret, unknown areas in the rose maze which had a habit of showing up.
Clark and her would sit for tea, and spend hours laughing and asking questions about the universe no one else bothered to ask. Never had they found an answer, however.
And then of course was Oliver. The rabbit. She and him would walk along the river, following it, and would sometimes visit the ruins of the Alice's once great kingdom.
They'd walk home together sadly... -
