I hesitate for a moment, but run up my staircase and grab a small purple beaded bag. I stuff a few important things and a jacket. I run down the stairs back to the two boys.
"Alright. Ready." -
Axe and I lead her to the street where we parked the car. I opened the door for her. I was surprised that she was so trusting. I was happy that she trusted me, but there are many who would take advantage of that.
