"Excuse me, do you know how to get to 5113 Oakwood Drive?" I asked. The police officer pointed me in the right direction. Soon I was at her doorstep. My friend Axe and I had heard stories about her. She was our last hope. I took a deep breath and knocked. -
I sat reading "Harry Potter" on my comfy couch. I was comfortable. I didn't want to get up. Suddenly I heard a knock at my door. "Huh?" I slowly got up, slipped on my slippers and headed towards the door.
Nobody ever came to see me. Whoever was here had a good reason.
I opened the door to two young men.
"Hello..." I said quietly. -
"Hello. My name is Gabriel, and this is Axe. You can read memories, right?" Axe and I were accused of murder. Could you testify for us?"
Her expression darkened. -
(I'll let it slide this time, but don't control other's characters. Just a tip for future reference)
"Murder?" I asked. "How am I suppose to testify for you? Wait, why does everybody just come for me for my ability?! Why can't I just have someone ask me out for coffee or something?!" I got angry and crossed my arms. -

"Ma'am, I also come with a warning. A man wants to use your ability for blackmail. the same man who framed me. framed me Do you live with anyone?" I asked.

My eyes widen. I look at the two.
"N-no..." I said a bit creeper out now. -

"Then I suggest you pack your things. Either you work for him the rest of your life, testify for us, or he kills us all. I understand you're scared, but you must trust me," I said.
