I raise my eyebrow. "Okay, thanks."

I go back and arm the noisemakers, completely forgetting about the Intelligence Star on the counter.

I finish dumping stuff in the bin, then go turn the "Open" to "Closed" and clean off the counters.

I make sure the cameras are armed and random.

I put the towel away, make sure everything is in its place, reluctantly grab the Star and walk to the back room.

"okay, we are good. Well get the guy tonight"

I hand the star to you and nod. "Whoever they are. This could be interesting."

"Yeah, thanks" I say as I pocket the Star. I hold open the back door for you.

I quickly snatch my cell phone from the counter and leave. "Thanks. So, I'll see you tomorrow, then?"

"yeah." before the door closes, I reach back in and arm the laser on the noisemaker. "want a ride home?"

I think for a second before answering. "Um, I'm good this time, thanks."

"okay, I'll see you tomorrow" I get in my car and start it.

I begin walking through the parking lot to my apartment, hands in my pockets. This was a unique day...

Instead of turning for home, I turn toward Langely. Where an old friend of mine runs a jewelry store.

I continue walking home. When I get there, I put my phone on the charger and go to my brother's old room. I stand outside the door for 5 minutes, wondering if I should go in.
