I heard the wall outside the school rumble. I took cover under my desk while everyone else ran about. "Get down!" I called over the ruckus. Earthquakes weren't common here, but they were in California. Idiots, this is a basic life skill! I thought as the teacher searched for me frantically. No one had any idea what to do. Soon the ceiling started to crumble and plaster sprinkled girls' hair like confetti. One by one, they realized they needed cover. Too late for one though. Melissa. As she dove her head was hit by the light and knocked out. I couldn't bear look at her, helpless.

It's a short, sad story.

The rumble was soft at first. No one thought of it, not one. Execpt me. I glanced up from my paper and looked around. I then just shrugged and went back to working. The rumbling got louder. Now, everyone was looking up. The teacher looked up at the celling as we heard a cracking sound.
Im being lazy. -
Brandon watched as the town shook, then started running for May's house. Karst would be there, waiting for him, along with May.
He stopped as May's home collapsed. He was about to run into the wreckage when a girl grabbed his arm.
He turned and saw May.
"We can't save her, she's gone. Brandon, let's go!"
And with that, the two left the crumbling town, leaving the small girl inside the crumbled building to the zombies.
