Eighteen
Staring at the world
In brand new ways
In brand new eyes
My wait for my life to start is over
I take my first step at eighteen
My parents watch me go
Tears in their eyes fore their little girl is gone
Standing in her place is a new woman
Ready to see the light
Ready to take on the world at eighteen
I look foward to the future
wondering what is instore for me
Will iI find the right path?
Will I find the right guy to fall in love with?
But I take my first step ino a new world
I started my new chapter in life at eighteen.
um so what do you think.... -

im only allowed to do three stanzas and have fifteen lines.....

I want people to understand that
I hear them talk of changing me
I see how they stare at my oddness
I want to show them all
I am me.
I pretend i don't care
I feel like the world is closing in
I touch the walls for support
I worry the world is turning on me
I cry hoping for someone to save me
I am me.
I understand somethings in life
I say the words that matter to me
I dream of my future and how it will be
I try to see the brighter things in life
I hope one da people will understand
I am me. -
