  *ahem* the hatfields and Mccoys are a fuding family that oes back to the civil war era. The feud started for an unknown reason but there are amny theories on how the feud started. Five hatfeilds and seven Mccoys died in the feud. There was many fights in court over the feud.also the hatfeild and Mccoy feud is still going on today with there new generation of hatfeilds and Mccoys.*finishes lecture*
