The entire scene was a metaphor. The fact that father had the power of a god, and Edward beat him regardless of that power. Was like saying, that Humanity will never give in. Even in the face the power of god himself. Until the end, even if its just one person, someone will stand tall. And will push forward. No matter the sacrifice.
Excuse me? I understand what all you guys were saying, but GREED weakened father. Without Greed, Ed would have NEVER won. -
