What "bad" influences in public school? Your folks must be strictly Christian/Catholic that's the reason why.

Yup. Very strictly christian. I'm more of a tolerant christian, so their strictness is... Ugh.

I have a friend who's a Jehovah's Witness, meaning she can't celebrate ANY holiday... not even her birthday.
