"Okay then." He headed to the door.

I followed silently.

He opened the car door for her.

I got in and buckled up.

He headed over to the driver's side and got in. He drove out of the parking lot.

"I've never been there, honestly," I said.

"Which place?" he asked.

"Both," I said.

He shrugged. "I usually sneak in back at the theater, and I went to the little beach when I was a kid."

I smiled. "Oh," I said.

He nodded. "Where would you rather go?"

"The beach," I say.

He nodded, taking a different road.

"I want my own car," I say out of the blue.

"Don't know how you'll get one..." He laughed a bit.
