"Good as well, my family is gone to town." Despite keeping a calm composure, he very much wanted to talk with the other privately later. He wanted to talk about what happened last night.
-
"Really? That good," he said softly. He didn't know what else to do, other than flush and look the other way. But he avoided that.
-
"Yeah." Jamie gave a soft chuckle, not knowing what to do either. "Um..is there anything else you all need?"
-
"Not really. Just want to esee you," he said quietly, his face stained red.
-
He looked up, his face flushed as well. "I want to see you too." His voice was a soft whisper.
-
"We're eseeing each other," he smiled softly. The tone in his voice, though, was rather awkward.
-
Jamie smiled at that, and nodded. "Yes, we are." His voice lowered a bit more. "Can we see each other again after dinner?"
-
"Esure. That'd be nice," he nodded. "Just be careful."
-
He nodded as well, and smiled softly. "You too. I have to get back now. Bye." He waved and ran back, knowing his family would be back soon.
-
"Adios," he waved, still awkwardly. Jesus fish, what was up with him? Why couldn't he act normal? he thought as he headed back to the fields miserably.
-
(xD Jesus fish.) His heart was beating quickly even before he started running. It was starting to make sense, though it wasn't the answer he wanted. How can I have these feelings for him? It's not like he feels the same way...right? Walking into the house, he could see that in the front yard the horses and buggy had returned home, and his parents and brother would be coming in shortly. He tried taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down.
-
(It's a holy fish) He went back to work, his head hurting. He felt weird, the feeling was so foreign to him. The way his heart beat was so strong and distracted, it didn't allow him to think straight. One thing stuck to his mind though, that sadly he didn't know if Jamie actually liked him back.. Or was about ready to tell Girvan that there was nooo way that was going to happen.
-
(Indeed it is.) Jamie couldn't focus on anything, simply waiting for dinner to finally come, but time stood still. It frustrated him, having to sit with his hateful, racist relatives, while Girvan and the other slaves worked so hard. Finally, his mother called him to dinner, which he quickly went to get it over with.
