Hmm. Well if you want it to be fucked up I'd suggest doing something involving crime like a murder and a lot of people add magic, but you don't strike me as that type of writer. If you wanted to make it really interesting you could do a person who was murdered trying to find out what happened to them. So I guess crime for realistic fiction but if you wanted fantasy you can add magic. I suppose you could add some family shit too for the fucked up effect.
