-PROLOGUE-
The Ancient Ringsciquim walked down the hall. He was troubled wondering what other hopes there was. He reached the castles kitchen if a kitchen you were to call it. He flicked his hand as if to get rid of an annoying fly. Suddenly a plate of food just for him faded into reality. Being the last of his order and one of the last magyck users had its advantage: there was more magyck for him to use. Moving his beard out of the way, he started eating.
Going down the hallway of his keep, he went to the third room down. Inside the room was dark, with a glowing ball on a table with a single chair. Every evening now he gazed through the sparkling cracks in the crystal. The ball usually told the truth most of the time, but everynow and then, the ball would show something ridiculous, such as a constallion coming to his portcallis the next morning, but when he looked, there wasnt one.
He said in a booming voice, Tell me oh ball of sparkling crysatl and glass! Show that there is still yet hope! Show me I beg of thee! The ball suddenly went dark, plunging the room in darkness. Then, as if by an apparation, vivid colors swirled in the ball and went in and out of focus. With a frosty blue tint, and through the cracks and webbing of magic, there was a kid.
The Ancient Ringsciquim squinted his eyes in disbelief. The Gaze of the Crystal never helped him in his search. It would show him a random object in avalon, the Netherworld, or the Nonmagical stre of the world. The ball used its gaze wisely though, and considered each sighting carefully. But finally! The crystal showed him a sign!
He glanced again at the ball. The picture showed a child, who looked happy. He may not be happy if he found out, the Ancient Ringsciquim thought. He whipped his long silver beard as he stood, thanking the Gaze of the Crystal for the sign.
He ran out of the room as fast as his old joints would allow. He went down the twisting corridors and passageways until he went to a courtyard. The Ancient Ringsciquim yelled, Nna! Come down with speed! For the Gaze of the Crystal has given us a sign! Suddenly, a large griffin majestically landed. Then he said, Lets sleep peacefully tonight.
The Ancient Ringsciquim left his companion to go to his bed. He went into the blankets with his frail limbs. The sign had consoled the troubles that haunted him for centuries. The only thought he could think of was that there was still hope. He breathed a sigh of relief and fell asleep. There was still hope.
There was still a hope.
Story belonging to Garrett C. -
Ish good, I suppose. x3 Yesh, I like it.
-
I told him it's not my thing, but it's still good.
Now for the circus! -
As you said. And I don't think Cheshire intends to participate in any circus..
