He watched her start to hurry away, not bothering to stop her. It was the popular from before.. It hit him.

I stopped and turned around.
"Sorry for running into you before," I say, like a whisper. -
He looked up. "It's fine..it's my fault." He muttered the last part so she wouldn't hear.

I knit my eyebrows together. I heard the last part.
"No, it was my fault. I was embarassed for sleeping in class, so I kept my head down. So, I'm sorry," I say. I feel my face flush, even though I hadn't said anything embarassing. -
