Rixon shook his head. "You don't understand, Lara. I'm immortal, even if it were remotely possible for me to live someone else, I would just stay the same while they grow old and die."

"Then you can't die, when I die you go and find some angel to make you happy. I just want you to be happy" I said stroking his cheek. I felt the chains slowly grow warmer as the lit on fire. This is how the want me to die, in ashes

"No." Rixon shouted, holding her tight and wrapping his wings tightly around the both of them.

I held his face in my hands and pulled him close so our forehead were touching, "Listen to me, its going to okay, please, I promise you Rixon...I-I just want y-your eyes to be the l-last thing I see" I could feel the fire licking at my arms, I ignored the pain

Tears flooded Rixon's eyes, and fell down his cheeks. He kicked at the chains on the walls, one of them coming loose.

I didn't notice the one chain falling loose. My lips gently brushed away his tears, "I love you...I love you...I love you" I said over and over again. The fire grew larger, I could feel myself slipping away

Rixon couldn't take it anymore. He let out a scream of pure agony, he couldn't lose Lara. His scream shattered one of the chains holding Lara, and he kicked at the other two, trying to get them to get lose.

"I love you Rixon" I said as breath started shortening. Tears ran down my face as I heard him scream, I felt myself weakening. I clutched onto his hand as I lay down on the floor, staring up at him

There was only one chain left and he pulled at it frantically. It was close to coming lose. "Stay with me, Lara, just stay with me!"

I started to close my eyes but I still breathed, it was becoming hard. Breathing hurt, I could just let go and it will all be gone...

Rixon finally pulled out the last chain and picked up Lara again, holding her close, and murmuring a few words to get them home.

"I love you Rixon..." I mumbled softly, I tried holding on but it was getting harder and harder. I could already feel myself fading

They appeared in his house. He laid her down on his bed. He got some water, and poured it over her burns, trying to cool her off. "C'mon, Lara, use your healing powers," he whispered urgently.

I sighed as my wounds felt better, but it wasn't enough. I looked up at him weakly and softly said, "Ca-can't" I took his hand and held it tightly staring up at him

Rixon frowned. "You can do it.." he let go if her hand and dug out a book with healing spells in it. He found one for burns. He pointed at it and showed her. "This one."
