I cross that street, then pull him into another alley. We sit down against one of the walls, and I pull out my map.

I look over her shoulder.

"Okay, so we're right about here...And we need to get there..." I point to a building that is circled on my map. "Sooo...If we take 171 down to Lewis Center drive...Yes!" I stand up.

I stand up next to her. "What are we doing?"

"We're going through the woods next to 171, then going down a bike path till we get to the house."
Each time I name a place, I point to it on the map. -
I trace the path she just showed, alomst able to ignore the butterflies when I brush her hand. "Sounds good."

"Okay, then, let's go before they catch up." I look back the way we came, to make sure no one is coming.

I nodd and start walking.

I go over to a tall gate, blocking off the woods. "We'll have to climb it." I say, lifting up my foot and putting it in one of the links.

I stand under her in case she falls.

I slowly scale to the top, then try and flip my leg over. When I do, my other foot slips out.

I watch just in case.

I manage to cling back onto the links, and swing my leg back over. "Come on." I hold my hand out to Jerry

I grab her hand and pull myself over.
