I listened to his steady heartbeat for awhile before letting go.

I nodded and looked at the ladder. "We don't really need this anyways," I said.

I climbed through the window and jumped out, landing on my feet at the bottom lightly.

"Show off!" I yelled down at her then the smoke started encasing my body and I was behind her.
