Okay, so could it be like there are two people with completely normal lives. But one night at a party, a bright light falls out of the sky and sets off an explosion. The explosion was near the party and a lot of the kids there died. But there is a gas leaking out from the explosion and spreading rapidly. To some it's a sickness, while to others it gets you amazing powers. These two people go on a search to find out what is going on and they discover their powers...
