I sat down on the mat beside him and opened the bag of chips. I set them on the ground. "What do you thinks happening now?"

"People who saw us leave probably told the police we had something to donwith the light and the police are looking for us that could be what's happening"

"They'll never find us out here." I took a few chips and a drink of water. "Oh, s---..."

"what?"

"My parents came here once. They could show the police." I got up and looked out the window.

"oh" I got up and walked over to her

I reached back and grabbed his hand.

I smiled when she grabbed my hand.

I grabbed the binoculars and looked out the window again. I couldn't see anything suspicious.

I stared at her.

I put the binoculars down. "It's gonna take awhile for them to find us, but I had to cover up that care bear sticker again. I'll be right back, okay?"

"Kay." I squeezed his hand before letting go. I walked over to the window and climbed quickly down the ladder. I reached the ground. "Pull the ladder up." I walked towards the tree that had the sticker.

I went to the mat sat down then started driking water.

I took the bark and fit it back on the tree so it looked like it had never been moved. I walked back to the tree house.
