I have an idea I would like to put in motion while we wait for Alice to come back so we can finish the scene.

Well, it includes a new character and a time travel machine.
The new character comes froma horrible future to hopefully right the wrongs leading to it. Her first mission is to stop a murdering ranmagpe from killing off many important people to the future.
I even have a twist for when the culprit is caught. -
